Damn, does ones attitude change with time. When I was a kid I though Pink Panther to be the coolest cartoon character ever. Now in this series of 51 minutes of Pink Panther I found only one cartoon I could fully enjoy - and it was the one I had already seen back then when I was a kid. All the rest? Uninteresting, quite similar to Tom and Jerry (which I never liked). So what was the difference between those two cartoons? I don`t remember.
To be honest, I was really dissapointed when I understood that in its essence the Pink Panther wasn`t particularly original or funny. This collection, for example, had at least 2 or 3 cartoons that had the exact same story - now that`s what I`d call a good sign of something not being execeptionally fresh. The animation isn`t up to the par as well - it`s the same primitive kind of animation that you see in all those Flintsones, Tom&Jerry and other cartoons which are made by workmen and not artists. Although I understand that even the Simpsons don`t have stunning animation, but the best series at least have a good story to every episode so I as the spectator would be entertained. Sadly the Pink Panther has nothing of that and it is basically about as original as a "Scooby Doo" episode.
