Spirit
Mūsdienās "Spirit" nevienam nav diez ko labi zināma grupa - un nav jau brīnums - cik daudz gan sešdesmitajos bija hipijiski noskaņotu rokeru. Taču ikviens vismaz 20 sekundes no vienas viņu dziesmas ir dzirdējis. Proti, fragments no šīs grupas dziesmas "Taurus" pārtapa par ievadu mega populārajai "Stairway to Heaven", līdz ar to vismaz kaut kādas zināšanas par šo grupu dažiem cilvēkiem ir arī mūsdienās.
This may be considered a lost masterpiece, but I can`t say that I find it especially masterful. Ok, there`s "Taurus" which is a very impressive instrumental that was transformed by Led Zep into "Stairway to heaven". But apart from this historical fact there`s nothing particulary memorable about "Spirit". The songs are either too trippy or not loud and memorable enough for me to like it. I certainly can not imagine anyone raving mad over it.
Starp citu, manā izpratnē Taurus nemaz tik izcila kompozīcija nav - grupai gan bija izdevies uztrāpīt uz ļoti labu melodiju, bet īsti, ko ar to tālāk iesākt, "Spirit", šķiet īsti nezināja.
