Šeit varētu padomāt, ka "Es aizeju" būtu kaut kas līdzīgs "National Treasure" vai Indianam Džonsam. Taču, protams, šī grāmata ne tuvu nav tik stulba, lai iegrimtu absolūtā piedzīvojumu literatūrā. No, I don`t mean the Alanis Morisette (whatever the correct spelling of her name may be) but the situation with our Internet connection. As I wrote many times we didn`t have any internet at home for six or seven weeks. And yesterday we finally got a Lattelecom internet connection and even set up wireless Internet. This morning when I let our dog out in the yard I decided to check whether the wireless signal was strong enough in order to use Internet in the garden (as what can be nicer than surfing the web outside?). And what did I see? An unsecured "linksys" network to that I was able to connect (not my wireless - somebody else`s). And afterwards this network was also available indoors. So just when I got my own Internet connection I also got the opportunity to connect to free wireless. And for all these six weeks there was no such a wireless. Now isn`t it ironic?

After around 6 weeks of suffering we finally have regained an internet connection! Isn`t it something?

After a longer pause I decided to check my google analytics account in order to see what keywords have attracted by site recently.

Grupas "Yes" debijas albūms, kā tas bija diezgan daudzām vēlāk "milzīgām" progresīvā roka grupām, faktiski nemaz nebija nekāds progroka ieraksts. Pretējā gadījumā diez vai tajā vietā atrastos vienam The Byrds un vienam The Beatles kaveram. Turklāt abi šie kaveri ir pietiekoši klasiski rokenroliski, lai nevarētu teikt, ka Džons Andersons un kompānija vienkārši paņēmuši par pamatu popmūziku un no tās radījuši kaut ko pilnīgi savādāku. Turklāt interesanti, ka viņu izvēlētā bītlu dziesma neapšaubāmi ir viena no grupas mazāk zināmajām kompozīcijām - tā ir "Every Little Thing" no "Beatles for Sale" - zini tā, kur "Every little thing she does - she does for me". Vispār nē - dziesmas ievads "Yes" izpildījumā nemaz nelīdzinās bītlu veikumam, tur jaušamas pat "Led Zeppelin" ietekmes devas un vien trešajā dziesmas minūtē parādās bītliskās notis. Interesanti, kā "Yes" izpildījumā šī dziesma kļūst par tādu kā himnu, lai gan saturiski, protams, tā nav nekāda himna, bet diezgan primitīvs lovesong.

Last Saturday it was an unpleasant surprise for me when I noticed that I had misplaced the front panel of our car stereo. We looked for it everywhere but it was not to be found. We tried asking all our friends whether they had seen this missing panel at their place - as I do have a strong tendency to lose my stuff it wouldn`t be a surprise - but it was nowhere.

The Gods Must be Crazy from Botswana was the 49th country in my "films of the world project", so now I`m getting near the biggest milestone I had intended to reach ASAP - 50 covered countries. What will be the 50th country? I don`t know yet but currently the main choice is between New Zealand, Lebanon and Pakistan. Popular countries, aren`t they? Another milestone was also reached last week - I finished covering music records from my disc number 40, so with "Ummagumma" I entered the 5th ten of the records, and that`s certainly a lot more than I believed I could achieve when I started this mission.
